2021-08-25 Pfizer Scheme to Churn Out ‘Variant-Specific’ Vaccines Will Lead to More Variants, Experts Warn Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla told Fox News the company has a system in place to turn around a variant-specific jab within 95 days in the likelihood a vaccine-resistant COVID strain emerges, but experts warn that strategy will backfire.
Public health officials have said for months universal vaccination across the U.S. and population abroad would reduce the opportunity for the virus to further mutate and evade vaccines.
2021-08-25 Dr. Peter McCullough Tells RFK, Jr.: ‘The Vaccines Are Failing’ On the “RFK, Jr. The Defender Podcast,” Dr. Peter McCullough discussed a new study by the Oxford University Clinical Research Group and how the Pfizer’s vaccine, at 17% to 42% efficacy, doesn’t meet the regulatory standard of 50% efficacy for vaccines.
The study’s big finding is their calculation of viral load, McCullough said: “This group had actually calculated viral load from oral and nasal secretions in the past. The viral load was 251 times that of the previous unvaccinated era where they had used the same methodology. So, they had previous workers and patients who had COVID-19 before any exposure to the vaccines. And now the vaccinated were carrying a massive viral load and passing it to one another.” https://childrenshealthdefense.org/defender/rfk-jr-podcast-dr-peter-mccullough-vaccines-are-failing/
2021-08-25 Delta Air Lines to Add $200 Monthly Health Insurance Charge for Unvaccinated Staff Delta Air Lines (DAL.N) on Wednesday said employees will have to pay $200 more every month for their company-sponsored healthcare plan if they choose to not vaccinate against COVID-19. The move to add a surcharge to health insurance contributions is the latest tactic by corporate America to push employees to get the shots to fight the pandemic. https://www.reuters.com/business/aerospace-defense/delta-add-200-monthly-health-insurance-charge-unvaccinated-staff-2021-08-25/
2021-08-25 Even Mainstream Media Is Now Asking Big Questions About COVID Vaccines “Even mainstream media is now asking big questions about the vaccines” Wednesday’s Liberty Report featured. A couple of recent headlines in Bloomberg and BBC were unexpected in terms the criticism reflected and somewhat skeptical pushback against the ‘consensus narrative.’
Here’s how the very unexpected Bloomberg article, which was published this past weekend, began: Anecdotes tell us what the data can’t: Vaccinated people appear to be getting the coronavirus at a surprisingly high rate. But exactly how often isn’t clear, nor is it certain how likely they are to spread the virus to others.
Though it is evident vaccination still provides powerful protection against the virus, there’s growing concern that vaccinated people may be more vulnerable to serious illness than previously thought.
And the same day as the BBG headline, there was this from UK government-funded BBC… “Is catching Covid now better than more vaccine?”
The story began: It is now a serious question that has implications for whether children should ever be vaccinated. And whether we use the virus or booster shots to top up immunity in adults. Both have become contentious issues.

2021-08-25 Pfizer’s FDA Approval Could Open Floodgates or Corporate Vaccine Mandates The Food and Drug Administration’s clearance of Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine, which had been rolled out to the public for emergency-use only, paves the way for more employers to require that their workers get jabbed. Although a number of businesses, colleges and other organizations were already requiring workers to be inoculated, many corporations have been hesitant to implement a mandate for a drug not yet fully approved by regulators. Labor attorneys expect Monday’s announcement by the FDA to open the floodgates for mandates across the board. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/vaccine-mandates-pfizer-covid-19-vaccine-fda-approval
2021-08-25 Washington Public School Requires Student Athletes to Wear Tracking Monitors to Trace COVID A public high school in Washington state is requiring some student-athletes and coaches to wear tracking devices on their wrists to trace COVID-19 during practices. “Where does this end? I feel like this is an experiment on our kids to see how much we can put them through before they start breaking.” The high school said that both vaccinated and unvaccinated athletes who play on teams with high contact and moderate indoor contact, such as volleyball, basketball and wrestling, are required to wear the devices. The tracking devices, which were paid for by federal funds, are worn during practice to trace the proximity of one player to others in the event of a positive coronavirus case. https://www.foxnews.com/us/washington-public-school-student-athletes-tracking-monitors-covid
2021-08-25 Spain’s Supreme Court Rules Against Using Vaccine Passports to Restrict Access to Public Spaces Spain’s Supreme Court made waves last week by becoming the first judicial authority in Europe to rule against the use of COVID passports to restrict access to public spaces — specifically hospitality businesses (bars, restaurants and nightclubs).
It is not the first Spanish court to come out against vaccine passports but it is the most important. So far, only five of Spain’s 17 autonomous regions – the Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla, Andalusia, Cantabria and Galicia – have proposed using vaccine passports to restrict access to public spaces. And all have been rejected by local judges.
The EU’s Green Pass is a one-piece QR-code document that can be issued to a traveller in both paper and digital format. It is intended to prove that the holder has either received one of the four vaccines authorised by the European Medicine Agency (BioNTech-Pfizer’s, Moderna’s, AztraZeneca’s and Johnson &Johnson’s), has tested negative for Covid-19 in the last 48 hours or has been infected with Covid in the last six months and therefore has natural immunity. However, some countries such as France have chosen only to allow entry to travellers that are fully vaccinated.
2021-08-25 Biden Receives Inconclusive Intelligence Report on COVID Origins President Biden on Tuesday received a classified report from the intelligence community that was inconclusive about the origins of the novel coronavirus, including whether the pathogen jumped from an animal to a human as part of a natural process, or escaped from a lab in central China, according to two U.S. officials familiar with the matter.
2021-08-25 U.S. Intelligence Study Inconclusive on COVID Origins, According to Reports A classified U.S. intelligence report delivered to the White House was inconclusive on the origins of the COVID-19 pandemic, in part due to a lack of information from China, according to U.S. media reports.
The assessment received on Tuesday, which was ordered by President Joe Biden 90 days ago, was unable to definitively conclude whether the virus that first emerged in central China had jumped to humans via animals or escaped a highly secure research facility in Wuhan, two U.S. officials familiar with the matter told the Washington Post. They said parts of the report could be declassified in the coming days.
2021-08-24 2 Things Mainstream Media Didn’t Tell You About FDA’s Approval of Pfizer Vaccine Buried in the fine print of Monday’s approval by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration of the Pfizer Comirnaty COVID vaccine are two critical facts that affect whether the vaccine can be mandated, and whether Pfizer can be held liable for injuries.
The press reported that vaccine mandates are now legal for military, healthcare workers, college students and employees in many industries. New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio has now required the vaccine for all teachers and school staff. The Pentagon is proceeding with its mandate for all military service members.
First, the FDA acknowledges that while Pfizer has “insufficient stocks” of the newly licensed Comirnaty vaccine available, there is “a significant amount” of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID vaccine — produced under Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) — still available for use.
The FDA decrees that the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine under the EUA should remain unlicensed but can be used “interchangeably” (page 2, footnote 8) with the newly licensed Comirnaty product.
Second, the FDA pointed out that the licensed Pfizer Comirnaty vaccine and the existing, EUA Pfizer vaccine are “legally distinct,” but proclaims that their differences do not “impact safety or effectiveness.”
There is a huge real-world difference between products approved under EUA compared with those the FDA has fully licensed.
EUA products are experimental under U.S. law. Both the Nuremberg Code and federal regulations provide that no one can force a human being to participate in this experiment. Under 21 U.S. Code Sec.360bbb-3(e)(1)(A)(ii)(III), “authorization for medical products for use in emergencies,” it is unlawful to deny someone a job or an education because they refuse to be an experimental subject. Instead, potential recipients have an absolute right to refuse EUA vaccines.
U.S. laws, however, permit employers and schools to require students and workers to take licensed vaccines.
At least for the moment, the Pfizer Comirnaty vaccine has no liability shield. Vials of the branded product, which say “Comirnaty” on the label, are subject to the same product liability laws as other U.S. products. But licensed adult vaccines, including the new Comirnaty, do not enjoy any liability shield. Just as with Ford’s exploding Pinto, or Monsanto’s herbicide Roundup, people injured by the Comirnaty vaccine could potentially sue for damages. And because adults injured by the vaccine will be able to show that the manufacturer knew of the problems with the product, jury awards could be astronomical.
Pfizer is therefore unlikely to allow any American to take a Comirnaty vaccine until it can somehow arrange immunity for this product.
Given this background, the FDA’s acknowledgement in its approval letter that there are insufficient stocks of the licensed Comirnaty, but an abundant supply of the EUA Pfizer BioNTech jab, exposes the “approval” as a cynical scheme to encourage businesses and schools to impose illegal jab mandates.
2021-08-24 Dr. Fauci Says Pfizer FDA Approval Will Bring ‘A Lot More’ COVID Vaccine Mandates Dr. Anthony Fauci, expects “a lot more” COVID-19 vaccine mandates after the Pfizer vaccine received full approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). institutions and organizations which previously were reluctant to require vaccinations, which will now feel much more empowered to do that.” “That could be organizations, businesses, colleges, universities. 2021-08-24 As COVID Surges Among Fully Vaccinated, CDC Fails to Properly Track Breakthrough Cases As more celebrities and elected officials announce they are “really really sick” despite being fully vaccinated, questions swirl around whether the vaccines work and why the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention isn’t doing more to track breakthrough cases..
According to the most recent data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), there were 9,716 breakthrough cases resulting in hospitalization or death as of Aug. 16. However, the agency states those numbers are underreported. On May 1, the CDC made a decision to stop tracking all breakthrough cases and instead only track cases in the fully vaccinated that resulted in hospitalization or death.
That leaves public health officials without the full data that can answer questions as the new Delta variant spreads. Not tracking breakthrough data with as much granularity as we would hope is “basically creating blind spots in our understanding of the true impact of the virus, especially the variants that are circulating so widely in the United States.”
Israel has one of the world’s highest COVID vaccination levels with 78% of the population over age 12 fully vaccinated — mostly with Pfizer’s vaccine. The country now has one of the highest infection rates in the world.
Brian Hooker, Ph.D., P.E., Children’s Health Defense chief scientific officer and professor of biology at Simpson University, said “What we’re seeing is virus evolution 101.”
2021-08-24 As Delta Spread, COVID-19 Vaccine Effectiveness Against Infection Fell From 90% To 66% in One Key Study The effectiveness of COVID-19 vaccines at preventing infection fell in one study of U.S. frontline workers from roughly 90% to 66% as the Delta variant emerged and became dominant in the country, an updated report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released Tuesday indicated.
Researchers had previously reported that from Dec. 14, 2020, when the vaccines started rolling out, to April 10, 2021, the vaccines were approximately 91% effective at preventing both symptomatic and asymptomatic infection from SARS-2. The finding underlined the ability of the vaccines to halt infection entirely and slash transmission; the clinical trials that led to the authorization of the vaccines had generally focused on their effectiveness at preventing symptomatic COVID-19 cases. https://www.statnews.com/2021/08/24/as-delta-spread-covid-19-vaccine-effectiveness-against-infection-fell-from-90-to-66-in-one-key-study/
2021-08-24 Where Do Moderna and Johnson & Johnson Stand on Full FDA Approval? So far, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson are still under Emergency Use Authorization. Moderna said it would request a Priority Review. This designation would call for the FDA to make a decision within six months rather than the typical 10-month waiting period. Pfizer started that process in May and the FDA made a decision four months later. It means Moderna’s full FDA approval could come as early as next month. https://www.cbs17.com/community/health/coronavirus/where-do-moderna-and-johnson-johnson-stand-on-full-fda-approval/
2021-08-24 Biden to Receive a Classified Report on The Origins of COVID-19 Today marks 90 days since President Biden ordered a systematic review into the origins of the coronavirus. Many scientists believe that the virus likely came from nature. But an alternative view is that it leaked from a laboratory in China, a theory that had been dismissed by many as a conspiracy theory until recent months.
2021-08-24 New Evidence Points to Antibodies as Reliable Indicator of Vaccine Protection The study was what many interested in the future of COVID-19 vaccines had been eagerly awaiting the results.
The researchers were looking for markers in vaccinated patients’ blood that would indicate protection against COVID-19, what’s known as “correlates of immunity.” What the team of scientists found were neutralizing antibodies — proteins made by the immune system that are known to disarm the coronavirus.
“The antibody levels] were always lower in the vaccinated people who became a COVID case compared to people who remained free of COVID,” Gilbert says.
The results show that antibody levels can be predictive of immunity, which should help develop and test new vaccines at a much faster pace. It’s even possible that COVID-19 vaccine-makers may not need to conduct trials with huge numbers of people to see how many get sick after getting vaccinated. Instead, researchers could simply draw blood and look for antibody levels that correlate with protection.
2021-08-24 Next up for Covid vaccines: kids under 12. The US Food and Drug Administration has given full approval to Pfizer’s coronavirus vaccine for people age 16 and older. Approval for youths ages 12-15 is expected to follow soon. Parents are already clamoring to hear more about approval or authorization for children under 12, however. Studies looking at that are underway.
2021-08-24 NIH director: Vaccine approval for kids unlikely before late 2021 “I got to be honest, I don’t see approval for kids 5 to 11 coming much before the end of 2021,” said Francis Collins. contradicting the speedier timelines offered by other Biden administration officials.
Vaccine makers Pfizer and Moderna are currently studying the shot’s safety and efficacy in younger children and infants, with Pfizer expected to deliver the results of its trials for 5-11-year-olds to the Food and Drug Administration sometime in September. https://www.politico.com/news/2021/08/24/vaccine-approval-kids-506750
2021-08-24 Does the FDA Think These Data Justify the First Full Approval of a COVID-19 Vaccine? The U.S. Food and Drug Administration should have demanded adequate, controlled studies with long-term follow up, and made data publicly available, before granting full approval to COVID-19 vaccines, says BMJ Associate editor Peter Doshi
The concern, of course, was decreased efficacy over time. “Waning immunity” is a known problem for influenza vaccines, with some studies showing near zero effectiveness after just three months, meaning a vaccine taken early may ultimately provide no protection by the time “flu season” arrives some months later.
If vaccine efficacy wanes over time, the crucial question becomes what level of effectiveness will the vaccine provide when a person is actually exposed to the virus? Unlike COVID vaccines, influenza vaccine performance has always been judged over a full season, not a couple months.
Enter Pfizer’s preprint. As an RCT reporting “up to six months of follow-up,” it is notable that evidence of waning immunity was already visible in the data by the March 13 data cut-off. But although this additional information was available to Pfizer in April, it was not published until the end of July. And it’s hard to imagine how the Delta variant could play a real role here, for 77% of trial participants were from the U.S., where Delta was not established until months after data cut-off.
2021-08-24 New CDC studies point to waning immunity from vaccines The publication of the studies comes a week after the agency released its first three reports on vaccine efficacy. One study, which focused on frontline health care workers, found that vaccine effectiveness declined by nearly thirty percentage points since the Delta variant became the dominant strain in the U.S. The second study examined 43,000 Los Angeles residents age 16 and older. It found that 25 percent of new infections from May to July were in fully vaccinated individuals, while 71 percent occurred in unvaccinated people. The study also showed that the hospitalization rate was significantly lower for fully vaccinated people than for unvaccinated people. https://www.politico.com/news/2021/08/24/cdc-studies-vaccine-immunity-506782
2021-08-24 If COVID Vaccine Refusers Are Turned Away at the Hospitals and Doctor Offices, Is That Ethical? Dr. Jason Valentine informed his patients this month that, effective Oct. 1, he would no longer treat those who hadn’t been vaccinated against Covid-19. A leaked memo indicated that the North Texas Mass Critical Care Guideline Task Force was considering whether to take Covid vaccination status into account in deciding who gets ICU beds when more of them are needed than are available.
Can either of these actions be considered ethical? In short, it depends.
Determining when it’s ethical for doctors and hospitals to refuse to provide their services, including considering whether a patient has adhered to public health precautions, such as vaccination, rests on the intentions of those turning people away and whether their decisions are consistent with professional norms and established practices. It would be unethical if a doctor were to refuse treatment because of anger, resentment or frustration, including over a patient’s decision not to get vaccinated. Doctors, and health care professionals more broadly, are bound by moral obligations to prevent illness and restore health for anyone without regard to certain objections they may have about them. https://www.nbcnews.com/think/opinion/if-covid-vaccine-refusers-are-turned-away-hospitals-doctor-offices-ncna1277475
2021-08-24 Caught in the Crossfire Over COVID’s Origin In the early days of the pandemic, scientists reported a reassuring trait in the new coronavirus: It appeared to be very stable. The virus was not mutating very rapidly, making it an easier target for treatments and vaccines.
At the time, the slow mutation rate struck one young scientist as odd. “That really made my ears perk up,” said Alina Chan, a postdoctoral fellow at the Broad Institute in Cambridge, Mass. Dr. Chan wondered whether the new virus was somehow “pre-adapted” to thrive in humans, before the outbreak even started.
Today, Dr. Anthony Fauci is a household hero to half of America. Drug companies, government officials and the pharma-funded corporate media invoke his name to justify lockdowns, masks and experimental vaccines.
But who is Dr. Fauci really? In my new book, I show that Dr. Fauci has done little to earn the sobriquet “America’s Doctor.”
Instead, he has survived 50 years as the J. Edgar Hoover of public health by consistently prioritizing Big Pharma profits over the welfare of his countrymen, and through mercenary homage to the chemical and agricultural industry, the military industrial complex, the intelligence apparatus and all the other pushers of pills, potions, powders, poisons, pricks and the police state.
His disastrous mismanagement ran up one of the biggest COVID death counts among all nations.
We need to stop Dr. Fauci and the coup d’état against the Constitution, human rights and liberal democracy globally. Because this book threatens their trillion-dollar vaccine enterprise, Dr. Fauci and his allies in the medical cartel, the media and military will hurl fierce criticism and use censorship — to debunk and silence “The Real Anthony Fauci.” It is my hope that this book will motivate — and mobilize — millions more advocates for truth, health and democracy.

2021-08-23 University of Virginia Disenrolls Unvaccinated Students Ahead of Fall Semester Forty-nine students who registered for fall classes at the University of Virginia have been disenrolled after failing to meet the school’s vaccine mandate, officials said last week.
The campus unveiled its vaccine mandate in May and the overwhelming majority of the campus is in compliance, officials said. More than 96 percent of U-Va. students are vaccinated against the coronavirus and 335 students with religious and medical exemptions have been granted permanent waivers, officials said. An additional 184 temporary waivers were granted to students who have had trouble getting vaccinated but plan to get their shots upon arriving to campus. [MEK Note: Mandates are illegal for experimental unapproved vaccines and the Pfizer EUA is still not approved]
2021-08-23 The FDA Reveals the New Name for the Pfizer COVID Vaccine According to the FDA, the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine will be marketed as Comirnaty — pronounced “koe-mir’-na-tee.” The vaccine will be marketed as a vaccine to protect against COVID-19 disease for those 16 years old and up. Anyone from 12 to 15 years old can get the vaccine under emergency use approval, but it has not been fully approved for those age groups..
Per the FDA, Comirnaty contains mRNA genetic material, which “is used by the body to make a mimic of one of the proteins in the virus that causes COVID-19.”
“The result of a person receiving this vaccine is that their immune system will ultimately react defensively to the virus that causes COVID-19,” according to the FDA.
And the mRNA from Comirnaty “is only present in the body for a short time and is not incorporated into — nor does it alter — an individual’s genetic material,” per the FDA.
Overall, Comirnaty has the same makeup as the vaccine approved for emergency authorization, and it is given out in two doses, per the FDA.
2021-08-23 Maryland Gov. Hogan Calls for Expedited Approval of COVID-19 Vaccine in Children Under 12 Maryland Governor Larry Hogan called for an expedited approval for the COVID-19 vaccine in children younger than 12 years old on Monday. “We want to thank federal officials for authorizing full approval of the Pfizer vaccine, which is something we have been pushing for over the last several weeks. For people who are still hesitant about getting the vaccine, this is an assurance that it has met the most rigorous standards for safety and effectiveness.”

2021-08-23 Meggan Ingram was fully vaccinated when she tested positive for COVID-19 early this month. The 37-year-old’s fever had spiked to 103 and her breath was coming in ragged bursts when an ambulance rushed her to an emergency room in Pasco, Washington, on Aug. 10. For three hours she was given oxygen and intravenous steroids, but she was ultimately sent home without being admitted. Seven people in her house have now tested positive. Five were fully vaccinated and two of the children are too young to get a vaccine
As the pandemic enters a critical new phase, public health authorities continue to lack data on crucial questions, just as they did when COVID-19 first tore through the U.S. in the spring of 2020. Today there remains no full understanding on how the aggressively contagious Delta variant spreads among the nearly 200 million partially or fully vaccinated Americans like Ingram, or on how many are getting sick.
2021-08-23 Government ‘Flying Blind’ on Breakthrough Infections, as COVID Infections Among Fully Vaccinated Soar The CDC’s decision to stop tracking COVID in vaccinated people, unless they are hospitalized or die, means we have no full understanding on how the Delta variant spreads among the nearly 200 million partially or fully vaccinated Americans, or on how many are getting sick
2021-08-23 Biden Urges Businesses Mandate COVID-19 Vaccine Following Full Approval of the Pfizer-Biontech Shot President Biden leaned into the new FDA licensure, or full approval, of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine on Monday, encouraging businesses to require vaccinations among employees.
“Today I’m calling on more companies … in the private sector to step up the vaccine requirements that will reach millions more people,” “If you’re a business leader, a non-profit leader, a state or local leader, who has been waiting for full FDA approval to require vaccinations, I call on you now to do that … do what I did last month, requiring employees to get vaccinated or face strict requirements.”
Biden touted full FDA approval of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, calling it a “key milestone in our nation’s fight against COVID,” and urged unvaccinated individuals to receive their shots amid rapid spread of the highly transmissible Delta variant driving infections nationwide. 2021-08-23 The NFL’s COVID Reality: Unvaccinated Players Are a Liability For months, the NFL’s vaccine stragglers have clung to the nebulous need for more. More data, more research, more approval. Now they’ll need more excuses.
That’s what Monday’s biotech news brought, by way of the FDA’s approval of the Pfizer vaccine. It’s a development that is sure to be followed in the coming months by other approvals in the space, just as it’s sure to be blown off by some NFL players who refuse to get vaccinated. But this time around, players won’t be able to lean on the lack of an FDA approval, leaving some to continue grasping at their own nebulous concoction for why they refuse an added layer of protection from COVID-19. https://sports.yahoo.com/the-nf-ls-covid-reality-unvaccinated-players-are-a-liability-024644111.html
2021-08-21 Americans are creating their own vaccine mandates by cutting ties with the unvaccinated The Harris Poll, at least 30% of Millennials or Gen Zers in the U.S. say they have cut ties with a friend, family member or acquaintance because they wouldn’t get the COVID-19 vaccine.
2021-08-20 Monoclonal Antibodies Are Free and Effective Against COVID-19, but Few People Are Getting Them When Mike Burton came down with a breakthrough case of COVID-19 earlier this month, the infection posed a double threat to his family. At 73, the retired surgeon faced elevated risk of serious illness. His wife, Linda, has a suppressed immune system, the result of drugs she takes after two liver transplants that put her in greater danger of life-threatening illness. The Burtons, both vaccinated, moved to separate parts of their Mount Sterling, Ky., home, masked up and hoped for the best.
Then a friend called and insisted they ask their doctors about monoclonal antibodies — an effective, widely available COVID-19 therapy that few people are receiving.
The drugs often prevent severe disease, keeping people like Mike Burton out of the hospital if taken within seven to 10 days after symptoms begin. And since last month, they can be given prophylactically to millions of people like Linda Burton who have been exposed to the coronavirus and are at high risk of serious consequences.
Monoclonal antibodies are free to patients and there have been almost no side effects. They are accessible on an outpatient basis, via a single infusion or four injections. Hospitals, urgent-care centers and even private doctors are authorized to dispense them. But Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, maker of the only authorized, free monoclonal antibodies, said it is reaching fewer than 30 percent of eligible patients, up from fewer than 5 percent a month ago.
2021-08-19 CDC Studies Show Vaccine Protection Wanes Over Time, Less Effective Against Delta Variant The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Wednesday released three studies on the effectiveness of the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines. A UK study released Tuesday showed people with “breakthrough” infections carry as much virus as the unvaccinated.
The CDC released three new studies focusing on the vaccines’ effectiveness in light of the Delta variant. The third study, using New York state data, found all three vaccines’ effectiveness against infection dropped from 92% in early May to 80% at the end of July, but the effectiveness against hospitalization remained relatively stable.
2021-08-19 The CDC announced the creation of a disease forecasting center to assess emerging health threats and help guide public health decisions. In the earliest and darkest days of the pandemic last year, health experts were plagued by a lack of coronavirus testing, long wait times for results and an incomplete picture of what was driving outbreaks.
Now, more than a year and a half later, many public health professionals are confronting the same issues. The delta variant is fueling a devastating new surge of infections, but experts say declines in testing and a lack of granular data about hospitalizations make it difficult to know just how much the virus is circulating in communities — and who remains most vulnerable.
2021-08-19 Zuckerberg Deflects Questions About Vaccine Disinformation on Facebook Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg skirted a question on Thursday about coronavirus vaccine disinformation on the social network, choosing to phrase the problem instead as primarily one of “vaccine hesitancy” among the U.S. public. Zuckerberg said that Facebook has removed more than 18m posts containing misinformation from their website, but failed to answer when pressed by King on how many people viewed or shared these posts. https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2021/aug/19/mark-zuckerberg-facebook-vaccine-disinformation

the implications of those tie — between the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), headed by Fauci, and the military, which provides substantial funding to NIAID.
The two also discuss how Fauci has played a key role in “agency capture,” said Kennedy, which is the pharmaceutical industry’s coup d’état against democracy. Kennedy explained how NIAID is one of 24 agencies in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services that’s been subject to industry capture.
Nearly half of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s budget comes from buying, selling or distributing vaccines, said Kennedy. “It’s the biggest vaccine distributor in the country.”

2021-08-19 A New Resource for Fighting Vaccine Misinformation The #ScienceUpFirst initiative was created to provide, support and amplify accurate scientific information to help people make informed health decisions.
There have been over four million deaths resulting from COVID worldwide, including over 34 million cases and more than 610,000 deaths in the United States alone. Worse, we do not appear to be near the end of the pandemic. Recent increases in hospitalizations and deaths from COVID have occurred, mainly in people who are either fully unvaccinated or partially vaccinated. Making this all the more tragic is its preventability; we know that vaccines are still effective against the Delta variant, which is now the predominant strain in the United States of the SARS-CoV-2 virus that causes COVID. In this vein, health misinformation can fuel vaccine hesitancy, which the World Health Organization has listed as one of the top 10 threats to global health. That threat becomes very clear and very immediate in the context of COVID. With vaccination programs underway, vaccine hesitancy could threaten the goal of herd immunity, which is key to ending the pandemic. [MEK Note: Lots of suspect statements above associated with this group: Covid cases in Vaccinated people are not being tracked, booster shots now required, breakout cases are significant, vacine adverse events and decreasing vaccine efficy counter vaccine effectiveness, reputable sources say vaccines that allow people to get and spread Covid nixes any idea of herd immunity. ]
In essence, #ScienceUpFirst uses social media to promote and amplify the best available science-based content in an effort to debunk misinformation.
At the social media level, the campaign does two things:
It seeks out, evaluates and boosts existing, evidence-based content, with the intention of engaging people to help to share and amplify that content on social media. Importantly, this involves efforts to adapt content and ensure that it reflects and speaks to diverse sociodemographic populations.
It takes information from community partners, followers and other official sources of data to determine the most relevant and timely content that is needed. It then creates scientifically accurate and easily digestible content in a visually appealing way and this content is vetted before it is posted on the campaign’s social media platforms.
[MEK Note: This all amounts to a major propaganda project to convince people to vaccinated. Based on earlier suspect statements of “fact” the group would most likely label honest rebttal misinformation and false news. Censoring information can be more dangerous than statements of misinformation.]
2021-08-19 4 Out of 10 Parents Have No Plans to Get Child Vaccinated for School: Poll Almost 90% of U.S. parents plan to send their kids back to the classroom this fall, but fewer than 60% plan to get a COVID-19 vaccine for those who are old enough, a new poll reveals.
2021-08-19 Where’s the data on delta? Lack of testing, info makes it hard to see virus’s full scope The CDC announced the creation of a disease forecasting center to assess emerging health threats and help guide public health decisions.
The delta variant is fueling a devastating new surge of infections, but experts say declines in testing and a lack of granular data about hospitalizations make it difficult to know just how much the virus is circulating in communities — and who remains most vulnerable. That makes it harder to control new outbreaks, including those in schools as students return. It also hampers scientists’ ability to catch other, potentially more worrisome strains that may emerge.
2021-08-19 Big Pharma Eyes Next Childhood Vaccine Cash Cow — mRNA Vaccines for RSV Now that COVID vaccines have established mRNA technology as the “new frontier for vaccine development,” pharma giants have set their sights on an mRNA vaccine for respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) — which they hope to add to an already overburdened childhood vaccine schedule.
Over the decades since childhood vaccines began rolling out on a widespread scale, pediatric vaccine injuries have left many parents regretful for forgetting or ignoring a basic history lesson.
That lesson, in the words of Harvard medical historian David Jones, is that “when it comes to vaccines and immunization … there always has been a risk and there always will be a risk.”
Sixty-five years ago, families learned about the risks of medical experimentation the hard way when they allowed researchers to use their infants as test subjects for a vaccine against a newly discovered illness dubbed “respiratory syncytial virus” (RSV), a common-cold-like illness now considered to affect “virtually all children,” mostly uneventfully, by age two. he disastrous RSV vaccine led to the death of two infants and to hospitalization for the majority of other young clinical trial participants.
Since that time, vexed researchers have continued to deploy “trial-and-error approaches.” But they admit the “road to an effective RSV vaccine is paved with challenges,” in large part because of the tricky problem of “vaccine-associated disease exacerbation” — a problem that has also plagued coronavirus vaccines.
The gist of the “exacerbation” issue, also called antibody-dependent enhancement or pathogenic priming, is that the vaccine “primes” recipients to later develop more severe disease instead of protecting them.
The foundational ethical standards underpinning research on human subjects demand special attention to vulnerable populations, including fetuses, neonates, pregnant women and the institutionalized elderly. Yet these are precisely the populations that RSV studies have targeted — all flops, with none leading to a licensed vaccine and a bare minimum of disclosure about safety.
Shocked by the scale and severity of COVID vaccine injuries in their adolescents, some parents are pushing back against the “one in a million” narrative, reminding the world that there is no accountability or liability for injuries caused by any experimental or licensed vaccine.
2021-08-19 US university announces it will fine, cut internet access to unvaccinated students Quinnipiac University issued the new regulations to students via email explaining it will apply a weekly fee of up to $2,275 per semester for unvaccinated students, mandatory weekly COVID-19 tests and loss of access to campus network and WiFi.
The email detailing these penalties was sent to roughly 600 students who had not submitted any proof of vaccination. Less than 10,000 students attend Quinnipiac, per a university spokesperson. “Our goal is to protect the health of our entire university community,” the email read. “In order to accomplish this we must know if you have been vaccinated.”
2021-08-19 Will Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine recipients need booster too? According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the data behind the booster plan includes studies that demonstrated waning vaccine effectiveness against COVID-19 infection in people who received either the Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna two-dose shots. The rollout for those shots began months before the Johnson & Johnson vaccine received FDA authorization, however, so the data on long-term effectiveness is forthcoming.
“We also anticipate booster shots will likely be needed for people who received the Johnson & Johnson (J&J) vaccine,” Eight months is the mark officials pinned for the booster timeline regarding mRNA vaccines, but it’s yet to be seen what they will decide for the viral vector shot. https://www.foxnews.com/health/johnson-johnson-covid-19-vaccine-recipients-booster

2021-08-18 Local Police Department Sues Over ‘Unlawful’ Vaccine Mandate The Tucson (Arizona) Police Union is suing the city after an ordinance was passed that makes vaccines mandatory for all city employees.
City officials met on Friday and voted 6 to 1 on an ordinance that requires all of the city’s approximately 4,500 employees to provide proof of vaccination, this includes the 750 employees of the police force. Of these 4,500, the city estimates that about 1,000 are unvaccinated, according to City Manager Michael Ortega’s memorandum. Those who do not will face a five-day suspension unless they have previously noted religious or medical exemptions. However, if at least 750 unvaccinated employees get vaccinated before August 20 the ordinance will not go into effect. https://www.newsweek.com/local-police-department-sues-over-unlawful-vaccine-mandate-1620690
2021-08-18 Biden says US will require nursing homes get staff vaccinated or lose federal funds Biden said he is directing the Department of Health and Human Services to draw up new regulations making employee vaccination a condition for nursing homes to participate in Medicare and Medicaid. The decision on nursing home staff represents a significant escalation in Biden’s campaign to get Americans vaccinated and the tools he is willing to use, marking the first time he has threatened to withhold federal funds in order to get people vaccinated. https://www.cnn.com/2021/08/18/politics/nursing-homes-federal-funding/index.html
2021-08-18 Why A Push For Boosters Could Make The Pandemic Even Worse Officials at the World Health Organization said Wednesday that it strongly opposes booster shots for all adults in rich countries because the boosters will not help slow down the pandemic. By diverting doses away from unvaccinated people, booster shots will help drive the emergence of more dangerous mutants, the WHO doctors said. The problem with a call for boosters, she said, is that the virus is primarily circulating in unvaccinated people — not in the fully vaccinated.
The WHO estimates 11 billion doses are needed to bring the pandemic under control. Billions of people have not received even one dose of the vaccine. To stop the evolution of new variants, the world needs to focus on immunizing these populations before handing out extra protection to low-risk individuals in rich countries, Aylward said. “The problem is not enough people have been vaccinated. So our first priority is relatively simple: Get as many of the unvaccinated with two doses before you move beyond that.” https://www.npr.org/sections/goatsandsoda/2021/08/18/1028941909/why-a-push-for-boosters-could-make-the-pandemic-even-worse
2020-08-18 Opinion | Why So Many Holdouts Still Won’t Get Vaxxed — And Why We Should Learn to Live With It The million-dollar lottery appears to have failed to win vaccine hearts and minds. Can we change resisters into enthusiasts by encouraging them to become pill-popping hypochondriacs? Probably not. Convert them into enthusiasts by providing more facts? Assuredly not. Now that billions of doses safely have been served and untold thousands of lives have been saved, it’s hard to imagine a fact we could conjure that would persuade them. If visiting an intensive care unit and finding that nearly every ventilated person is unvaccinated won’t convince you to take the vaccine, what will? Should we teach fear of the virus by screening the Covid-19 equivalent of those old bloody drivers’ ed films? Lecture the anti-vaxxers for the 100th time that prevention via vaccination is superior in almost every way to treatment? Explain the cost-benefit argument one more time? Appeal to their altruism? Explain once more that, absent a vaccine, it’s less a question of whether you’re going to get a brutal case of Covid-19 than when?

“We now know that’s it’s somewhere in the range of possible, probable, and for some scientists a near certainty that this (the Wuhan Lab] is where it (Covid-19] came from.” “It doesn’t make any difference if we finally get what happened (lab leak or wet market). That can deflect us from the critical work we need to do to ban this type of ‘gain of function’ research.” https://www.ralphnaderradiohour.com/eugenics-wuhan-lab-leak-donziger-update/

A member of the Council on Foreign Relations, Cheney is the former CEO of Halliburton Company, which greatly benefits from contracts with the U.S. government, especially in the war with Iraq. Cheney has ties to the Carlyle Group, is a former Senior Fellow with the American Enterprise Institute, served on the Advisory Board of the Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs, and has been linked to the Project for the New American Century.
He is the believed to be a member of the U.S. Committee on NATO, a non-profit bi-partisan organization formed to promote the expansion of the NATO alliance. ¶
Mr. Cheney is still drawing a $1,000,000 per year paycheck from Halliburton while serving as the Vice President. He evidently sees no conflict of interest between taking this paycheck, and participating in White House decisions that have allocated billions of dollars of bids to Halliburton that have not gone to open tender.

2021-08-24 Move-On calling on Biden to Open Doors to Afghans during Humanitarian Crisis
Finally, after decades of organizing, the U.S. war in Afghanistan is coming to a close. But our work is not over. As President Biden finally ends the military occupation, we must protect vulnerable Afghans and welcome them to our country.
Since its beginning, MoveOn members have called for the United States to use diplomacy instead of violence and destruction, prioritize human rights and lives, and invest the trillions of dollars spent on war-making in essential services like schools, health care, and childcare instead of lining the pockets of large corporations and wealthy investors.
Now, we must follow through with our commitment to protect the most vulnerable by pressuring our elected officials to do everything they can to ensure safety for as many Afghans as possible.
It is correct for the U.S. to withdraw troops and end the decades of violence we have inflicted on the Afghan people ever since the invasion of Afghanistan by George W. Bush. The majority of Americans and Afghans want this war to end.1,2 The quick resurgence of the Taliban, fueled in part by Trump releasing 5,000 Taliban leaders3, makes it crystal clear that this war was a mistake, and more bombs will not bring peace.
However, we cannot let the Afghan people continue to bear the brunt of America’s mistakes. Since the U.S. helped create this crisis, we must do all we can to ensure the safety of Afghans, and everyone persecuted by the Taliban. We must keep the Kabul airport open and accessible, open our doors to Afghans, and send humanitarian aid for those who stay in Afghanistan.
Right now, an estimated 100,000 Afghans are looking to leave the country to escape persecution by the Taliban.4 They are human and civil rights leaders, media, personnel who helped American troops, LGBTQ+ people, religious and ethnic minorities, and more. The Taliban has already started going door to door to mark their homes, and they are preventing access for many to the airport—the sole mechanism to leave the country.5
It’s crucial in this moment for Congress and the Biden administration to work together to ensure that we’re mobilizing on all fronts to mitigate the harm that we’ve played a key role in causing. We must prioritize immediate evacuation efforts by securing access for all to the airport, expand the visa and refugee camp programs to welcome more Afghans, and ensure those who are in process for paperwork are able to wait safely outside of Afghanistan. Lives are on the line, and there is no time to lose.
The long-overdue end to the war in Afghanistan is opening up a conversation about what America’s foreign policy should be. MoveOn members have taken action to stop and prevent wars for decades, and we will continue to build toward a country that uses diplomacy, defends human rights for all, and welcomes people with dignity and respect. As Afghans For a Better Tomorrow put it, “Together, we can ensure that the Afghan people have a chance at a future without war, violence, or a humanitarian crisis. It’s the least they’re owed after decades of occupation.”6
Thanks for all you do.
