The militarism enabled by failures of institutional journalists has led thousands to their graves, and international human rights to their ruin.
One reason I focus so much of my ire on journalists and editors is because they are supposed to play such a crucial role in ensuring legitimacy, transparency, and accountability in government. Their failures cascade well beyond their profession.
