2022-11-15 Top Green Results – US House, two-way races -E-mail from Elections Database Manager, Green Party of the United States

Dear Greens

This year California Green Michael Kerr (Contra Costa County) became only the fifth California Green to make it onto the November ballot since top two elections were put in place in 2012, three for US House of Representatives and two for State Assembly. This history is covered in this article in the GPUS Newspaper Green Pages:

At the same time, Kerr also became only the 18th Green in the U.S. to be on a U.S. House general election ballot in a two-way race vs. a Democrat or a Republican, receiving 20.1% of the vote as of November 14th, 2022 counts. Note that Kerr’s final % of the vote and total votes will likely change somewhat as ballots are still being counted in California.

Below is the list of all 18 two-way races in which a Green in the U.S. has appeared on the ballot and contested; followed by a list of only Greens vs. Democrats and then only Greens vs. Republicans. Kerr’s race is the eight highest among the 18.
