California Proposition 27, Legalize Sports Betting and Revenue for Homelessness Prevention Fund Initiative (2022) Is this just to promote gambling (regressive addiction taxing of the poor)? The lottery gambling was to help California education, but CA education has gotten noticeably worse. Does Legislature just cuts back expecting lottery to make up difference (another poor people’s addiction tax)?
California Proposition 30, Tax on Income Above $2 Million for Zero-Emissions Vehicles and Wildfire Prevention Initiative (2022) I support, but why so little? Why isn’t there a large excess profit tax on the oil industry that is using Ukraine-Russia war to gouge us? No, we are covering-up the gouging by Federal gas tax reduction. Important money for our transportation infrastructure!
