It was the beginning of the preceding decade, January 2010, when Bill Gates, via the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, proclaimed “[w]e must make this the decade of vaccines,” adding that “innovation will make it possible to save more children than ever before.” In launching this so-called “Decade of Vaccines,” the Gates Foundation pledged $10 billion in funding. But Gates wasn’t the only actor behind this initiative. For instance, the “Decade of Vaccines” program used a model originating from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health to project the potential impact of vaccines on childhood deaths throughout the decade to come. And the announcement for the “Decade of Vaccines” initiative was made at that year’s annual meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF).
These same actors — the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and the WEF — organized the now-notorious Event 201 pandemic simulation exercise, in October 2019, just before COVID entered our lives.
Moreover, in 2010, a “Global Vaccine Action Plan” was announced as part of this initiative. It was a collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO), UNICEF and the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), with Dr. Anthony Fauci serving on the leadership council.
What, or who, is the GAVI Alliance? Also known as the “Vaccine Alliance,” it proclaims a mission to “save lives and protect people’s health,” and states it “helps vaccinate almost half the world’s children against deadly and debilitating infectious diseases.” GAVI goes on to describe its core partnership with various international organizations, including names that are by now familiar: the WHO, UNICEF, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the World Bank. 2021-12-14 Studies Find Pfizer Vaccine Less Effective Against Omicron Health officials and vaccine makers call for boosters after studies show Pfizer vaccine is less effective against Omicron, but data on breakthrough cases suggest the vaccine hasn’t been effective against other strains, either.
Commenting on the predictions that boosters would be useful in combating Omicron, Brian Hooker, Ph.D., P.E., Children’s Health Defense chief scientific officer and professor of biology at Simpson University, told The Defender: “The point they are trying to make is that waning immunity from the two-dose series is ineffective against the Omicron variant, but an up-to-date booster would increase protection to 70% to 75% — which is still very ‘leaky’ for a vaccine.” Hooker added: “I believe this is more propaganda and wishful thinking than truth, given the sparse data regarding boosters and Omicron.”
Hooker said the lack of data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) regarding vaccine effectiveness in general is “at a minimum disconcerting” and probably means that waning effectiveness of the vaccines is leading to a significant increase in breakthrough cases and deaths in the fully vaccinated.
“The whole thing is extremely confusing, given the admission of the CDC earlier that they count only those breakthrough cases that lead to hospitalization and death. This renders the whole analysis meaningless,” Hooker said. In May, the CDC stopped tracking breakthrough cases that didn’t result in hospitalization or death. The CDC also states that “partially vaccinated,” or those with one dose of Pfizer or Moderna, are excluded from the breakthrough case data. The CDC’s COVID data tracker states “data will be updated monthly,” however the data hasn’t been updated since Oct. 2. CDC data from early October showed 30,177 fully vaccinated patients, defined as two weeks after the second Pfizer or Moderna shot or one Johnson & Johnson shot, had died or were hospitalized.

2021-12-14 Kroger Ending Some COVID Benefits for Unvaccinated Staff Kroger, the country’s biggest traditional grocery chain, is ending some benefits for unvaccinated workers as big employers attempt to compel more of their workforce to become vaccinated with cases of COVID-19 again rising. Unvaccinated workers will no longer be eligible to receive up to two-weeks paid emergency leave if they become infected, a company spokesperson confirmed Tuesday. That policy was put into place last year when vaccines were unavailable. Hospital chains and nonprofit hospitals are dropping the mandate in a bid to hold on to staff members who range from nurses to sanitation workers. Medical professionals are reporting high rates of burnout and frustration with shortages of the necessary equipment to do their jobs. “It’s been a mass exodus, and a lot of people in the healthcare industry are willing to go and shop around,” employee-benefits lawyer Wade Symons told the Journal. Military leaders have few options to address the dissent other than to hope that, as waiver requests are denied, more troops will choose to fall in line. The alternative, the Pentagon has said, is to purge the ranks of those failing to meet requirements, though some of those roughly 40,000 service members opting out had already planned to leave the military.
