2021-02-26 Left out? Israeli vaccine refuseniks fear exclusion as economy reopens Israel has led the world in COVID-19 vaccinations. Now it faces another challenge that other countries will have to grapple with: how to balance public health and the rights of the unvaccinated.

“Whoever does not get vaccinated will be left behind,” Health Minister Yuli Edelstein warned in recent weeks. Edelstein has made clear that newly introduced perks for the vaccinated – including access to theatres, gyms, and resort areas along the Dead Sea – are incentives to get inoculated.

But some advocates and employers are concerned that parliament has not passed any new laws regulating workers’ return to offices or offering protections for the unvaccinated, saying it will force employers to devise their own rules. 2021-02-26 Can vaccinated people still spread the coronavirus? [MEK: Note: I consider the statements and claims in this article to be suspect! There are no references to support article claims of fact.] You can still get infected after you’ve been vaccinated. But your chances of getting seriously ill are almost zero. Many people think vaccines work like a shield, blocking a virus from infecting cells altogether. But in most cases, a person who gets vaccinated is protected from disease, not necessarily infection.

Every person’s immune system is a little different, so when a vaccine is 95% effective, that just means 95% of people who receive the vaccine – but who would have gotten ill if exposed to the virus before – won’t get sick. These people could be completely protected from infection, or they could be getting infected but remain asymptomatic because their immune system eliminates the virus very quickly. The remaining 5% of vaccinated people – if exposed to the virus – could become infected and get sick, but are extremely unlikely to be hospitalized.

Transmission happens when enough viral particles from an infected person get into the body of an uninfected person. In theory, anyone infected with the coronavirus could potentially transmit it. But a vaccine will reduce the chance of this happening.

Every time SARS-CoV-2 replicates, it gets new mutations. In recent months, researchers have found new variants that are more infective  If vaccinated people have more virus in their bodies and it takes less of that virus to infect another person, there will be higher probability a vaccinated person could transmit these new strains of the coronavirus. 2021-02-22 White House Enlists Social Media Giants to Suppress Vaccine ‘Misinformation’  As concerns about vaccine safety grow, the Biden administration is enlisting Big Tech’s help in removing social media posts that deviate from “officially distributed” COVID-19 information.

“Vaccine hesitancy is a huge obstacle to getting everyone vaccinated and there are no larger players in that than the social media platforms,” a White House source told Reuters late last week.   “Social media tycoons are now openly serving as government surrogates in censoring factually accurate information that departs from government policies and pronouncements,”

In August, 2020 Children’s Health Defense filed a lawsuit charging Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg and several fact-checking organizations with censoring truthful public health posts and for fraudulently misrepresenting and defaming the children’s health organization.   The complaint alleges that Facebook has insidious conflicts with the pharmaceutical industry and health agencies and raised detailed factual allegations regarding the CDC, CDC Foundation, and WHO’s extensive relationships and collaborations with Facebook and Zuckerberg calling into question Facebook’s joint action in a censorship campaign with the government.

Earlier this month, Kennedy’s Instagram account was deplatformed without advance notice for what the media claimed were “false COVID claims” or “vaccine misinformation.” Some reports falsely characterized Kennedy as an “anti-vaxxer.”  Kennedy unequivocally rejects those characterizations. He wrote in response to Instagram’s censorship:

“Every statement I put on Instagram was sourced from a government database, from peer-reviewed publications and from carefully confirmed news stories. None of my posts were false. Facebook, the pharmaceutical industry and its captive regulators use the term ‘vaccine misinformation’ as a euphemism for any factual assertion that departs from official pronouncements about vaccine health and safety, whether true or not. This kind of censorship is counterproductive if our objective is a safe and effective vaccine supply.”

As Kennedy has stated numerous times, “for a democracy to function, civil debate of issues — including vaccine science — must be allowed. 2021-02-22 Since COVID Vaccines Are Experimental, Vaccine Administrators Must Inform You of Risks  In the U.S., vaccines granted Emergency Use Authorization by the FDA, as is the case with the Pfizer and Moderna COVID vaccines, are considered experimental. Administrators of emergency use vaccines are required by law to inform vaccine recipients of the potential risks.   

The real problem therefore isn’t with the consent itself, but with the information that should precede the issue of consent.   The three prerequisites for informed consent

For consent to be valid you need 3 things:

• It must be given voluntarily— without coercion or deceit.
• It must be given by an individual who has mental capacity.
• BEFORE giving consent, a person needs to have been fully informed about the issue. That includes being informed about what the risks and benefits of the treatment or vaccination are, as well as the risks and benefits of going without the treatment or vaccination, and what alternate options might be available.

“Something that is safe does not cause physical harm or danger.”

“Safe” claims are routinely made by organizations like the UK NHS, the Centers for Disease Control in the USA and the World Health Organization.   A search we carried out of the VAERS database in the U.S. shows that nearly 8,000 adverse events have been reported to date (note: as many as 90% of adverse reactions often go unreported), and over 1.5% of these involved death. It is then arguably deceitful to refer to these experimental vaccines as “safe.”

Information that should be freely communicated includes the fact that the vaccines are experimental and unproven. Those considering giving consent should be told about the vaccines’ reliance on synthetic biology that has never been tested at scale. 2021-02-22 Air Force Surgeon: It’s Your ‘Duty’ to Get COVID Vaccine   The transcript of a mandatory video briefing for airmen at a Texas Air Force base reveals false statements made by Lt. Gen. Dorothy A. Hogg about COVID vaccine safety, and shows a clear intent to coerce, not inform.    Ignored by Hogg:

Historically, natural acquired immunity has indicated a needed 60% immunity of the median age groups of the bell curve to protect infants and elderly on the tails of an age distribution bell curve.  There are other adequate and approved alternatives available besides a vaccine.”  Hogg provides a personal endorsement of the vaccine, instead of following the guidelines for informed consent which require listing the adverse reactions found in the vaccine clinical trial data.  

That the FDA Emergency Use Authorization approval process skipped critical animal trials. This is by far Hogg’s most egregious omission, as a person of her seniority should know. These animal trials indicated over the previous 20 years that enhanced respiratory disease, or antibody dependent enhancement, poses a potentially deadly long-term risk for mRNA-vaccinated subjects when they are challenged by wild-strain viruses.   The Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine FDA Fact Sheet does not demonstrate the vaccine is safe or low-risk in pregnancy. In fact, pregnant women were excluded from Pfizer’s vaccine trials.  ignors the alarming data in the VAERS database.

But by far the most inexcusable part of Hogg’s presentation is that a general officer is using her position with undue influence, patriotic coercion and emotional manipulation to persuade airmen that it is their duty to participate in a Phase 3 clinical trial of an experimental medical intervention

2021-02-19 Are We on the Verge of a ‘Super-Epidemic’ of Autoimmune Diseases?   Some of the world’s leading immunologists blame exposure to SARS-CoV-2, others blame the experimental COVID vaccines — but could both potentially cause a devastating super-epidemic of autoimmune disease?  Some are more worried about the novel, still experimental vaccines, delivered at an unprecedented scale.

Autoimmune diseases represent a diverse group of over 100 diseases including type 1 diabetes, multiple sclerosis, lupus, psoriasis, coeliac disease, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, Addison’s disease, rheumatoid arthritis, pancreatitis, Graves disease, Hashimoto’s, fibromyalgia, and many other common diseases.

The underlying mechanism that links all these diseases is the loss of self-tolerance. As a result, the body starts to attack healthy cells or parts of itself, leading to the characteristic symptoms of one of the myriad autoimmune diseases.

There’s a widely held view in immunological circles that a major driver of this epidemic is the decline of common infectious diseases such as hepatitis A, measles, mumps and rheumatic fever. That combined with the excessively hygienic environment that many children have grown up in in industrialized countries during the course of the last half century or so.

We’ve also learned there are a bunch of other things in our modern day lives that might elevate our risk of developing autoimmune diseases, at ever younger ages. These include: 

• The integrity and health of our gut and its microbiome.
• Exposure to environmental chemicals, drugs, pollutants and food additives.
• Childhood traumatic stress and chronic stress in adults.
• Low status of circulating vitamin D.

Underlying all of this is of course our genetics, which includes our blood group. Interesting evidence emerged mid-2020 that people with blood group O (as opposed to A, B or AB) had significantly lower risk of severe COVID-19 disease.

We’ve known for a while that coronaviruses have the potential to induce autoimmune diseases. This was well demonstrated experimentally in a retinal autoimmunity mouse model almost 20 years ago.   Now the more controversial bit. Vaccines and autoimmunity. As it happens, Prof Shoenfeld’s group has done a lot of work in this area and recognizes that adjuvants in some vaccines may present as just another, and sometimes the most important, environmental trigger for autoimmune disease among those who are predisposed. 2021-02-19 UK Will Infect Healthy Young People With COVID in World’s First Human Challenge Trial  Proponents say first human COVID trials will yield valuable information, but critics argue that with no cure for the potentially deadly virus, the trials are unethical.    human challenge trials on COVID-19, a type of study that requires deliberately infecting healthy people with the potentially deadly virus.   The idea of human challenge trials has been met with lukewarm reception by some vaccine makers, including Johnson & Johnson and Moderna.

The controversial study — the first of its kind on COVID — is geared toward understanding the virus, testing the effectiveness of current vaccines and accelerating development of newer vaccines, according to a UK government press release.   Proponents of the strategy say it’s about saving lives by speeding up development of vaccines and understanding the virus. But critics of human challenge trials suggest that infecting healthy people with a potentially deadly virus, for which there is no cure, is unethical.

90 volunteers ages 18 – 30 will participate in the initial study, which is called a characterization study, where scientists will administer tiny droplets of the SARS-CoV-2 virus into the nostrils of unvaccinated participants to determine the smallest amount needed to cause infection. Using a human challenge trial to determine deaths averted hinges on the premise of high-risk groups receiving an effective vaccine sooner. However, guidelines for the UK study recommend enrolling only young, healthy adults. This reduces the risks with these types of studies but jeopardizes the results.

 Although human challenge trials have been done in the past with malaria, cholera, typhoid and influenza vaccines, COVID-19 is different because there is no rescue therapy to treat those who become infected and the disease is not self-limiting, the authors of the PNAS op-ed said.

The Nuremberg Code is the benchmark of medical and research ethics that serves as a blueprint for human rights in medical research. Enacted in 1947 in Nuremberg, Germany, the code was developed in response to the horrors of human experimentation done by Nazi physicians in concentration camps.  The Nuremberg Code details a 10-point set of rules for conducting human experiments. 2021-02-19 One-Third of Deaths Reported to CDC After COVID Vaccines Occurred Within 48 Hours of Vaccination    The numbers reflect the latest data available as of Feb. 12 from the CDC’s Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System website. Of the 929 reported deaths, about one-third occurred within 48 hours.

As is consistent with previous VAERS data reports, 192 of the reported deaths — or 21% — were cardiac-related. As The Defender reported last month, the spike protein that the body is instructed to make by mRNA vaccines like those developed by Pfizer and Moderna have the potential to cause microvascular injury (inflammation and small blood clots called microthrombi) to the heart, brain, liver and kidneys in ways that were not assessed in the safety trials.

Of the 929 deaths reported since Dec. 14, 2020, the average age of the deceased was 77.8 and the youngest was 23. Fifty-two percent of the reported deaths were among men, 45% were women and 3% are unknown. 2021-02-18 EPA Approves Chemical ‘Air Treatment’ Against COVID, Despite Known Health Hazards  Georgia and Tennessee are first states to gain approval to diffuse a chemical known to trigger asthma and other serious respiratory illnesses throughout government buildings, healthcare and food processing facilities and intrastate transportation.   In mid-January, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) approved an emergency exemption that would allow them to aerosolize selected indoor spaces with an antiviral “air treatment” called Grignard Pure.

Grignard Pure is a nanoparticle-based product. Its active ingredient is a substance called triethylene glycol (TEG).   The EPA’s approval slid in under Section 18 of the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA), which allows the agency to green-light pesticides for unregistered uses in defined geographic areas for up to a year during public health emergencies deemed “urgent” and “non-routine.”

2021-02-18 WHO Approves AstraZeneca Vaccine for Emergency Use, But Some Nations Say ‘No Thanks’   The controversial vaccine, which Bill Gates has heavily invested in, is being rejected by some countries over widespread concerns about side effects and efficacy.    WHO’s approval of the vaccines produced by AstraZeneca-SKBio (Republic of Korea) and the Serum Institute of India paves the way for 300 million doses of AstraZeneca to reach 145 countries in the first half of 2021, through Bill Gates’ COVAX program.

2021-02-17 Bill Gates: Third Shot May Be Needed to Combat Coronavirus Variants   Gates told CBS News we might need a third shot of a currently available vaccine, or a “modified” vaccine as the virus mutates, but CHD’s RFK, Jr. asks why we haven’t focused instead on non-vaccine strategies, including therapeutic drugs. 

With more than 40 million Americans having received at least the first dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine, a third dose may be needed to prevent the spread of new variants of the disease, Bill Gates told CBS News Tuesday.

Gates’ comments come amid growing concern that the current vaccines are not effective against the more contagious Brazilian and South African variants.

Pfizer and Moderna have stated that their vaccines are 95% and 99% effective, respectively, against the initial strain of COVID. However, some scientists have questioned those statements. 2021-02-16 46 Nursing Home Residents in Spain Die Within 1 Month of Getting Pfizer COVID Vaccine   Health officials have reportedly halted administration of the second shot of Pfizer’s vaccine at the Spanish nursing home.    Forty-six nursing home residents who had received their first dose of Pfizer-BioNTech’s fast-tracked vaccination against COVID-19 at the beginning of January had died by the end of the month, Spanish media have reported.

At another nursing home in the same southwestern Spanish province, in Novo Sancti Petri, in Chiclani, 22 elderly residents died and 103 were infected following a vaccination campaign.   Similar outbreaks and death clusters following vaccination have been reported across the globe, including:

• 29 elderly people died in Norway shortly after receiving Pfizer’s vaccination.
• 13 deaths among 40 residents following vaccination at one nursing home in Germany were dismissed as “tragic coincidence.”
• 10 deaths in a German palliative care patients within hours to four days of COVID-19 vaccination were deemed a “coincidence.”
• 22 of 72 residents of a nursing home in Basingstoke, England have died following vaccination.
• 24 seniors at a nursing home in Syracuse, NY were reported to have died from COVID-19 as of Jan. 9 despite having been vaccinated beginning Dec. 22.
• 10 cases of COVID-19 were reported on Jan. 28 among seniors who had received both doses of Pfizer’s vaccine at one care home in Stockholm Sweden. The residents were vaccinated on Dec. 27 and again on Jan.19.
• The COVID-19 death toll in the small British enclave of Gibraltar numbered 16 before it launched its Pfizer vaccination campaign on Jan. 10 and then shot up to 53 deaths 10 days later and to 70 seven days after that. According to a Reuters report, the Gibraltar Health Authority declared there was “no evidence at all of any causal link” between 6 of the deaths that were investigated and Pfizer’s vaccine, despite the individuals having tested negative for COVID before vaccination, but positive “in the days immediately after.”
• 4,500 COVID-19 cases in Israel occurred in patients after they had received one dose of Pfizer’s vaccine and 375 of those vaccinated patients required hospitalization, Israeli news media reported on Jan.12.
• Seven adults living in a care home in Saskatoon tested positive for coronavirus a week after residents were vaccinated at the Sherbrooke Community Centre, the CBC reported. There were no positive cases at the time of vaccination.
• Seven residents at a Montreal long-term care facility tested positive for COVID- within 28 days of being vaccinated with Pfizer’s vaccine, prompting the province of Quebec to delay the second Pfizer dose.
• Abercorn Care Home in Scotland, which began COVID-19 vaccinations on Dec. 14 was home to an outbreak of the virus by Jan. 10 and the National Health Service for the region refused to comment on whether vaccinated residents were ill. A care home staff group founder told the Scottish Daily Record: “We have had members of our group whose parents have had the vaccine and then two weeks later have tested positive for coronavirus.”
• All of the residents at a home in Inverness, Scotland were vaccinated against COVID early in January, but 17 became infected with the virus after the first dose.

The World Health Organization’s Strategic Advisory Group of Experts updated its recommendations for Moderna’s vaccine administration on Jan. 26 stating that while vaccination is recommended for older persons due to the risks of COVID infection, “very frail older persons with an anticipated life expectancy of less than 3 months” should not be automatically vaccinated but should be “individually assessed.” https://childrenshealthdefense.org/defender/nursing-home-residents-spain-die-pfizer-covid-vaccine/

2021-02-13 Covid passports could deliver a ‘summer of joy,’ Denmark hopes The kingdom of under six million people has become one of the most efficient vaccination distributors in Europe and aims to have offered its whole population a jab by June. But before that target is reached, there’s pressure for life to get back to normal for Danes already inoculated and to open up borders for Covid-immune travelers from overseas.
